    Moms Cracking Up
A sense of humor is one of the strongest tools in your new-mom arsenal. Hone yours at this comedy club run by stand-up comedian Jill Shely, whose jokes target all those crazy parenthood moments that aren’t especially funny as they’re happening but grow hilarious over time. The group meets every other Monday at the baby-friendly hour of 1:30pm. Think of it as laugh therapy. 14th Street Y, 344 E 14th St between First and Second Aves (212-780-0800, 14streety). $15.

    Parent Play
Every now and then, moms and dads need a break from their darling ankle-biter, but it’s not always easy to find a sitter. Enter Parent Play, a company that arranges family nights out, then supervises and entertains the wee ones in a separate room. Spa days, comedy nights and tastings are a few of the organization’s recent offerings. Various locations; go to parentplay.com. $75 per family per event.

    Priti
Being a new mom doesn’t mean you have to forgo all personal maintenance. Priti is anall-organic, child-friendly salon on the Lower East Side, where you won’t have to suffer the toxic fumes (or toxic glares) you’ll find at regular nail parlors. You can even keep your little one on your lap while you indulge in a pedicure that’s formaldehyde-free. 35 E 1st St between First and Second Aves (212-254-3628, pritiorganicspa.com). $25–$70 per treatment.

    Tea Lounge
Hang out with other hip parents and their babes at this super kid-friendly coffeehouse, with three locations in Brooklyn. Knock back a beverage (either caffeinated or alcoholic) and tap your toe to the sounds of the tot sing-along. Strollers welcome. Go to tealounge.com for locations.
