NYPL librarian and book artist Cheryl Shackleton-Hawkins has been teaching this five-day August workshop since 1993. Publishers-in-training will work on one-of-a-kind books that depict family, community and culture. At the end of the week, their objets d’art will be presented in the foyer display cases at the center. For kids in grades 8 through 12.
