TADA! Musical Theater Weeks
Jun 9–Aug 29. Mon–Fri 9:30am–2:30pm. TADA! Theater, 15 W 28th St between Fifth Ave and Broadway, third floor (212-252-1619, tadatheater.com). Subway: R, W, 1, 6 to 28th St; B, D, F, V, N, Q to 34th St–Herald Sq. $375 per week.
Young kids and teens learn the finer points of musical theater at TADA!’s weeklong sessions. Split into three age-specific groups, campers rehearse and perform a mini-musical at the close of each week. Extended day care is available. For kids in grades 1 through 12.
Wingspan Arts Summer Conservatory
Jul 7–Aug 17. Eleanor Roosevelt High School, 311 E 76th St between First and Second Aves (212-586-2330, wingspanarts.org). Subway: 6 to 77th St. Times and prices very by individual camp.
• Wingspan Gypsies: Musical Mania (for kids in grades 1 through 5). Mon–Thu 9am–5pm, Fri 9am–1pm. $1,500; $2,500 for both sessions.

• Wingspan Players: Musical Theatre (for kids in grades 6 through 8). Mon–Thu 9am–4:30pm, Fri 9am–1pm. Free.

Wingspan Arts merges fun and learning in its summer conservatory. Classes taught by industry professionals cover acting, vocals and filmmaking. The program for young children lets campers create and perform their own musical, while older kids put on classic productions and work with lesser-known material. Participation in Wingspan Players requires an audition, but if selected, these budding thespians get to learn for free. Application deadline is April 10.
