    MULTI-ARTS CAMPS

    Creative Arts Studio Summer Arts Camp
    Jun 30–Aug 29. Mon–Fri 9am–3pm. 310 Atlantic Ave between Smith and Hoyt Sts, Boerum Hill, Brooklyn (718-797-5600, creativeartsstudio.com). Subway: F, G to Bergen St. • 119 Union St at Columbia St, Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn (718-243-0658, creativeartsstudio.com). Travel: F, G to Carroll St, then take the B71 bus to Sackett St; or A, C, F to Jay St–Borough Hall, then take the B61 bus to Columbia St. $350 per week, $1320 per session, $2,480 for the summer.

    This multi-art camps keeps kids busy dancing, making music, listening to storytelling, making masks, instruments and books, and taking weekly field trips to museums. Each camp week features an imaginative theme; in past years, these have included “Fly to the Moon,” “Surfin’ Safari” and “City Under the Sea.” Once a week, campers also get the chance to splash around in the Brooklyn Marriott pool. Extended day care is available. Ages 5 to 13.

    HiArt! Summer Mini-Camps
    Jun 17–Aug 28. Tue–Thu 9:30am–noon, 1:30pm–3:30pm or 9:30am–3:30pm. 601 W 26th St at Eleventh Ave (212-362-8190, hiartkids.com). Travel: A, C, E, 1, 2, 3 to 34th St–Penn Station, then take the M42 bus to the Javits Center or the M23 bus to 23rd St and Eleventh Ave. $750–$2,952.

    HiArt! offers its summer half- and full-day programs with a twist: The art school is turning to classic operas like A Midsummer Night’s Dream for its theme. Campers create multimedia artworks while listening to major musical pieces; then they head out to museums and galleries throughout the city. Older kids stick around for Art in the Afternoon, in which they work with real artists. Sibling discounts are available. Ages 2 ½ to 10.

    New York Chinese Cultural Center Summer Camp
    Jul 7–Aug 22. Mon–Fri 9:30am–2pm. New York Chinese Cultural Center, 390 Broadway between Walker and White Sts, second floor (212-334-3764, chinesedance.org). Subway: J, M, Z, N, Q, R, W, 6 to Canal St. $180–$1,415.

    Children learn about Chinese culture at the NYCCC’s seven-week program. The camp schedule is flexible; you can sign your kids up to learn acrobatics, folk dance, language, painting, calligraphy and paper folding one to five days a week, and you can choose between full and half days. Extended day care is also available. Ages 3 ½ to 12.
