Fourth of July weekend activities in NYC

Celebrate the Red, White and Blue with patriotic parties around the city.

Sun 6 at 2, 3pm. Children’s Museum of Manhattan. 212 W 83rd St between Amsterdam Ave and Broadway (212-721-1234, cmom.org). Subway: B, C to 81st St–Museum of Natural History; 1 to 86th St. $9, seniors $6, children under 1 free. Get your tiaras and toy cars ready for a performance of songs about telling the truth and bullies (and, perhaps, telling the truth about bullies?). The Manhattan-based couple entertain the whole family with funny melodies complemented by Steve’s gnarly guitar shredding and Katie’s perfect pitch. All ages.
FREE Summergarden’s Juilliard Concert
Sun 6 at 8pm. Museum of Modern Art, Sculpture Garden, 11 W 53rd St between Fifth and Sixth Aves (212-708-9400, moma.org). Subway: D, F to 47–50th Sts–Rockefeller Ctr; E to Fifth Ave–53rd St. The young virtuosos of the renowned performing-arts school play classical pieces by composers from all over the world. Parents can enjoy the sweet sounds while kids frolic in the grass. All ages.
