Description
This candy-colored celebration of teen lust and ’60s kitsch (originally sired by shockmaster John Waters) has plenty of hormones and heart, plus a supercatchy score. The show follows a chubby teen as she boogies her way onto an American Bandstand–esque dance show (and steals the series’s hunk from a blond bully). Ages 8 and up.
