Chelsea’s 2,500-square-foot indoor playground is filled with sites for exploration: a soft play climbing area, a boutique, a combined bookstore and reading room, a birthday room, and most recently a hair salon (a haircut for your child will set you back $28) and a cafe inhabit the space. Classrooms at the facility offer lessons in music, art, cooking, gym, yoga, dance and Spanish language. Annual family membership ($850) grants you and your little seedling unlimited access to the cheery playgrounds. Classes are open to the public for 16-week semester sessions. Best of all, with the playground’s nine exhibits that mimic New York, Apple Seeds gives children a sense of their city within the confines of a safe, fun and clean area. Ages newborn to 5 years.
