I love the Living Room on Ludlow Street. I'm so sad they're moving! I always come here with my friends for a good time--the vibe is so poppin', and the drinks are always really yummy. My favorite thing about the Living Room has to be the music, though. They book so many unique artists every night. Just love it!
I will be honest with you, I am not a big folk music enthusiast. But a friend I recently met told me just come to The Living Room with me and I bet you'll have a great time. Once she mentioned the price of the drink specials, I was in. We stayed in the front to talk and have drinks and I was really digging the music being played in the background. When we went back to check out the live music, I was very intrigued by the set up, and respect that the fans had for the musicians. It was a fun time and I plan on coming back soon.
Good music, good atmosphere, good vibes, good staff, good prices on drinks. I am giving so many goods because this place is just really good. Found this place when I came to see Meiko play in NYC last year , and am in love with it ever since. The living room is the place that I would bring friends over on a regular basis for drinks and music, it is like my own living room.
What a cool place! The front room is the bar area, which, the drinks are cheap and the bartenders are super chilled. The back room is for live music, there are usually several sets every night. There is no cover, which makes it even better. Had a good night last Thursday after work, enjoyed the three sets I saw very much.
Each time I come here I love it more. There’s live music downstairs in The Living Room AND upstairs at Googie’s… so lots of different choices depending on what you like. The atmosphere is great, and me and all my friends enjoyed a bunch of rounds of cheap drinks! I’ll definitely be bringing more friends out to relax after work here.
