The Lost Jazz Shrines series presents three different takes on the Charlie Parker legacy, courtesy of a trio of contemporary saxophone luminaries. On May 3, T.K. Blue examines Parker's Latin-jazz works; on May 17, Rudresh Mahanthappa presents fresh arrangements of Parker classics and new pieces influenced by him; and on May 31, Marty Ehrlich heads a tribute to poetry inspired by Parker. Show up at 7pm each night for a free Bird-related discussion or film screening.
