Callers, a local outfit with New Orleans roots, puts forth a supple brand of art soul that's sensuous and perplexing at the same time. You'll notice Sara Lucas's unaffected croon first, but guitarist Ryan Seaton's jazzy twang is every bit as vital to the band's potent, offbeat appeal.
