Cannibal Ox has put out only one proper LP during its decade-plus existence, but that record—the El-P–produced dystopian-rap marvel that is 2001's The Cold Vein—was enough to garner this Harlem duo a career's worth of respect in the hip-hop underground. Rumors of a second CanOx full-length have swirled around for years, but recent word of a 2013 release date actually seems legit. Will the duo of Vast Aire and Vordul Mega offer a sneak preview at tonight's reunion gig? Sharing the bill is Bronx MC C-Rayz Walz, the headliner's early-aughts Def Jux labelmate.
