Don Giovanni Records started up as a basement label in Jersey ten years ago, and now houses some veritable treasures on its roster. Headlining this two-day Billyburg showcase are quirky local folkie Laura Stevenson (Fri 8), who reminds us of how Joanna Newsom sounded before she went baroque, and Marissa Paternoster's post–riot-grrrl punks Screaming Females (Sat 9). Also on the bill, antifolk veteran and TONY fave Jeffrey Lewis, boldly melodic art-punk duo Hilly Eye (featuring former Titus Andronicus member Amy Klein) plus Shellshag, Lemuria and Home Blitz.
