Fred Hersch and Julian Lage Duets

Pianist Fred Hersch has a real knack for picking out and playing with some of the finest up-and-coming jazz musicians available, and guitarist Julian Lage—for whose meteoric rise "up-and-coming" falls short—has made an effort to work with his illustrious forebears. Free Flying, their new album, was bound to happen, and you can bet there'll be some celebrating going on here.
