Hanni El Khatib + Bass Drum of Death

Buzzed-about San Fran blues-punk Hanni El Khatib knocks out grubby, distorted riffs and growls sure to appeal to fans of the White Stripes and the Black Keys. Not exactly original, but not half bad, either, and he'll be plugging his new disc, Head in the Dirt, at this Bowery show. Also on the bill are Mississippi garage ragers Bass Drum of Death.
