RECOMMENDED: All SXSW coverage

Is this your first SXSW?
[Laughs] No, but it's definitely my last.

Why?
I just don't like festivals in general. This one has kind of outgrown itself. It's a little gluttonous.

You seemed happy onstage.
I was. I had a good time at the show, but, I don't know.…

Did you see any good bands this week?
I did. I just came from a show with this band Part Time. We're bringing them out on tour, so I wanted to check them out. I love their record.

Was there anything you've done this week to keep yourself from getting too crazed?
It's been pretty nonstop, so I haven't had time to do anything. Although I did have a nice time hanging out with Naeem [Juwan] from Spank Rock. We sat under a tree for a couple of hours and just talked. It was really nice. He's an old friend, and he comforts me in this odd way.

Did he give you life advice or something?
It's just his aura. I actually learned something this week, where if you hold someone's elbow, scientifically it's proven, that it calms them. If a girl does it to a boy.

That's a great way to hit on people.
It instantly makes them feel secure.

Thank you for the tip.
If you're ever into someone, just cup their elbow. [Laughs]
