And we always thought he was such a nice boy.… Seriously though, one of the things that was so striking about Jack ’n’ Meg White back in ye olde days of the White Stripes was that the pair seemed to behave with the kind of old-fashioned good manners rarely seen in the pop world. But on Saturday, White sparked outrage when he left the stage at Radio City after playing for less than an hour. Earlier in the show, he'd complained about the audience's lukewarm response, saying: "Jesus Christ, is this an NPR convention?" But then later, he asked the audience to quiet down because he couldn't hear himself think. What surprises us the most, however, is that he returned to Radio City on Sunday night to play his second show, no questions asked. TONY snapper Virginia Rollison was there, poised with camera.

Hey guys, well I went to both Jack White Shows here in Australia. The Melbourne gig the audience sang along and we really into it, and he gave us a lot of love and fond words. at the Sydney show, the audience were quiet and even at one part when he wanted the audience to sing the words to "Love Interruption" the audience fell flat and stumbled the words... it was embarrassing, I am a melbournian and i think the music scene is more hard core here, Jack ended up saying at one point along the lines of "settle down guys i cant hear myself think" I didnt mind, and it wasnt a big deal and it didnt really go any further, He wasnt nearly as warm at the end of the show though, at the melbourne show he seemed truly sincere when he said "god bless you, i love you, i really do, ya'll mean so much to me" and earlier in the show spoke of how the girls of melbourne are beautiful, but the boys need to pick up there game (haha) The fact of the matter is, I felt that the two audiences that i was apart of had two completely different energies, and i felt uncomfortable for JWIII at the Sydney show because the audience was dead, it only picked up when he played the two show stoppers "seven nation" and "Hardest button" He has been doing a rediculous amout of shows, not only in america, but a lot of flying over to London and Europe, these photos you have posted, all the members look exhausted! and i wouldnt blame them, they have to make such a high energy show, night after night on little sleep. And i am sure if u are so tired and you are thus getting your energy from the crowds excitment, it could be almost impossible to play to another quiet, crowd that doesnt respect your wishes for no photography. Jack White is still the genuine, good hearted man, he always has been. We all have our days where we arent feeling it. God Bless Jack White for bringing the soul back to music!
