You might still be tempted to think of pianist Jason Moran as one of the young players who's currently shaking up the scene—and you'd be correct, mainly because he started so early. But the Bandwagon, Moran's quirky and exuberant trio with bassist Tarus Mateen and drummer Nasheet Waits, has been going strong for a full decade now. Ten, the group's most recent Blue Note release, offers a powerful display of their control, range and boldness.
