On the exact date of what would have been John Cage's 100th birthday, the New York Chamber Music Festival presents some of the composer's most theatrical works: Living Room Music, Sonata for Two Voices and The City Wears a Slouch Hat, among others. The program carries a Met Opera pedigree, conducted by Derrick Inouye and performed by the institution's percussionist section, alongside bass-baritone Morris Robinson, soprano Karen Beardsley Peters and a variety of local musicians.
