Lyfe Jennings hit the ground running when he finished his ten-year bid at an Ohio prison in 2002. Within three years, he'd released his Columbia debut, Lyfe 268-192, a showcase for his earthy vocals and neosoul-style introspection. He faced another spell in the slammer in 2010, but now he's back.
