It's been a long, long time since Maria Schneider's weekly gigs at the late, lamented Visiones, which means her orchestra's appearances are now rare commodities. Even if that weren't the case, a Grammy win and other accolades should have this polished ensemble in fine fettle, and there's no time like now to catch it.
