Mark Gross Quintet

Baltimore hard-bop altoist Mark Gross, a gospel-steeped player who's also done time playing for musical-theater shows such as Swing! and Five Guys Named Moe, celebrates his newly released third album as a leader, Blackside, with a quintet featuring trumpeter Freddie Hendrix in the front line.
