An amorphous collective helmed by singer-songwriter Jordan Lee, Mutual Benefit makes wistful, dreamy orchestral folk, as heard on its shining new sophomore effort, Skip a Sinking Stone. The group headlines this pair of gigs alongside Emily Sprague's pastoral, tender indie project Florist, which possesses all the hallmarks of their Epoch Collective associates (see eskimeaux and Told Slant): poignant, unadorned imagery and heart-on-the-sleeve intimacy.
