Until not so long ago, rock music in India meant classic-rock bands playing Floyd/Eagles/Beatles covers. But in the past decade, alternative music has blossomed (thanks largely to the Internet), and Raghu Dixit offers a true taste of what's going on—namely a swoonsome fusion of Indian folk sounds with crisp alt-rock flavors and funk and reggae flourishes.
