New York City hosts a slew of music festivals every year, but none quite match Global Citizen Fest's towering star power. Following Pope Francis's motorcade cruise the previous evening, Beyoncé, Pearl Jam, Ed Sheeran and other pop luminaries descended on Central Park last Saturday alongside a veritable who's-who of public figures and celebrity hosts (Leonardo DiCaprio, Joe Biden, Olivia Wilde, Michelle Obama). Unsurprisingly, the big-name talent drew a crowd: More than 60,000 gathered for the free event that seeks to spark action and raise funds to further the UN's project of eradicating global poverty by 2030. Here are our favorite moments from Global Citizen Festival 2015 NYC.
