The Casual Dots feature members of venerable crews from Olympia, WA, and D.C.—Bikini Kill's Kathi Wilcox, and Christina Billotte of Slant 6 and Quix*o*tic, respectively—and can sound like a more whimsical, stripped-down Sleater-Kinney. Here, the long-running trio cobills with Oldest, the fearsomely intense duo of avant-guitar master Mick Barr and veteran hardcore drummer (turned noted Del Posto pastry chef) Brooks Headley.
