The Sounds of Reggae with Ari Campbell's UB40 + Maxi Priest + Beres Hammond

Barclays Center, Prospect Heights Wednesday December 12 2012 19:00
"I will never again play with the remaining members of UB40 while I live and breathe," British reggae crooner Ali Campbell told The Sun in 2009 about his departure from the band with which he notched smash-hit covers of pop staples like "Red Red Wine," "Can't Help Falling in Love" and "I Got You Babe"—and which includes two of his brothers. That his current act is being advertised as a version of UB40 has caused some rancor; still, you'll be hearing Campbell and UB40 keyboardist Mickey Virtue, along with a crack group and some exciting openers in toaster Maxi Priest, lover-man Beres Hammond and Mr. Bombastic himself, Shaggy.
