The Tomas Fujiwara Trio + Reverse Blue

At 9:30pm, Tomas Fujiwara leads a spare, angular trio, heard on the recent Variable Bets, featuring the yin-yang pairing of trumpeter Ralph Alessi and guitarist Brandon Seabrook. Opening the evening at 8pm is Reverse Blue, a group that began as a one-off improv collaboration among four local avant-jazz VIPs—Fujiwara, guitarist Mary Halvorson, reedist Chris Speed and bassist Eivind Opsvik—and has grown into a steadily gigging band.
