Veteran alt-rock combo the Wedding Present, fronted as ever by David Gedge, hits town for two gigs; Friday has the band playing Hit Parade at Maxwell's—the album was released in 1992 when the group released a single every month for a year (we'll be cheering for "Blue Eyes"). Then on Saturday, Gedge & Co. play their beloved 1987 debut album, George Best, in full. You can also expect to hear a good dose of last year's Valentina at both shows, plus other Weddoes hits.
