Cousin Corinne's Live Comix Block: Michael Kupperman + Ben Katchor

We would be hard-pressed to recommend this duo of comic-strip artists more highly: Kupperman indulges the Twain fetish he revealed in the beautifully absurd panels of Tales Designed to Thrizzle with Mark Twain's Autobiography 1910–2010; Katchor continues his astute surrealist vibe in The Cardboard Valise, imagining an island of restroom ruins with a hearty ambivalence toward consumer culture and capitalism.
