eBay experiences Obama-rama
Thu Jan 15 2009
In just six days, Barack Obama will be sworn into office, and his plans for stimulating our failing economy can finally get under way. In the meantime, he's unofficially helping the retail market: In the last 90 days, the number of "Barack Obama Inauguration" eBay listings have increased 413 percent to more than 10,000 items, including life-size posters, belt buckles, nesting dolls, Inauguration Day parking passes, hotel rooms and more.
And people aren't just scooping up small-ticket Obama gear: One shopper doled out $9,850 for a signed copy of his 1995 book, Dreams from My Father. Economy, consider yourself stimulated!
