Exclusive video interview: Sufjan Stevens dishes on this week's Celebrate Brooklyn shows

Celebrate Brooklyn! Celebrate Sufjan Stevens! Celebrate an awesome pop-up skate shop featuring the art of Stevens's muse Royal Robertson!

Yep, there are plenty of reasons to be happy this week. Sufjan Stevens is rounding off his Age of Adz world tour in Prospect Park tomorrow and Wednesday night (check our live review and photos from November's Beacon Theatre blowout). And his buddy Scott Ogden has just opened a pop-up skate shop in Chelsea showing and selling artwork by outsider artist Royal Robertson (including a limited-edition skateboard that's printed with one of Robertson's drawings). We figured it'd be pretty neat to talk to Stevens about his association with Ogden, his love for Robertson's art and his plans for this week's blowout live shows. We figured you'd like to see it too.

Enjoy. And we'll see you in the in the front row at Prospect Park Bandshell.

Sufjan Stevens plays Celebrate Brooklyn this week. Tuesday's show is sold out, but you can still get tickets for Wednesday's show here.

The 1-20 Gallery is showing MAKE Skateboards organized by Jonathan Lavoie and Scott Ogden. Tue--Sun noon--8pm; through September 17.
