Fashion Week: Vivienne Tam
Wed Sep 10 2008
It's Fashion Week, and that means everyone is breaking out their most fashionable outfits, but more importantly, the biggest, baddest and highest heels possible. Watching models prance down the catwalk like giddy My Little Ponies—all while wearing the tallest shoes ever—only makes us think we need to work on our heel walking. So at the Vivienne Tam show, we carefully watched the models' left-right-left better to learn how to walk so fancy. Then something great happened: A model limped down the runway with a strange swagger that made everyone's heads turn. Her heels seemed to be working against her. She stopped dead in her tracks, took off her shoes and continued down the runway. The audience cheered empathetically: See, we aren't the only ones who want to wear flats, flip-flops and Converse all the time.
