Glee goes to Bushwick
Two Gleeks find their new home in Brooklyn.
The fourth season of the popular Fox dramedy Glee premiered on September 13, and found aspiring triple threat (and New York newbie) Rachel Berry dealing with a slew of common freshman problems. First on that list? Sharing a too-tiny dorm room with a horny stranger whose constant fornication is disrupting Rachel's beauty sleep.
Serendipitously, Rachel's biggest competition best friend Kurt Hummel (played by Chris Colfer) relocates from Ohio to prep for his second shot at the New York Academy of the Dramatic Arts. The doe-eyed ingenues then decide to find an apartment together—an $1,800-per-month, big-enough-to-ride-bikes-in-it loft in Bushwick.
What do you think of Bushwick's portrayal in the show? We have our own thoughts, based on our recent neighborhoods issue and the photo tour of Bushwick, but we're curious to hear what you have to say. And if you had Kurt and Rachel's budget, where in New York would you live?
