Shibori scarf from ArimatsuMonacca wooden suitcase

I think I'm turning Japanese now. Or at least my tastes in design are leaning that way after a visit to the Felissimo Design House. From now until Feb 7 11am--6pm, you can stop by to check out a collection of Japan's most popular products—glassware, furniture, lacquer goods, ceramics, paper, scarves and more—from 30 key regions. Through this event, "Japan Brand: Unfolding," we can celebrate artisanship, practical beauty and their regional expertise. Among the collection of beautiful products on display, various items are available for purchase (most are typically unavailable in in the U.S.!) Sadly, the fashionably adorable Monacca wooden suitcase from Chugei (pictured above) is not for sale but the ultrasoft Shibori scarf from Arimatsu is (around $400). Stop by the free exhibit for some culture and some shopping—two things that go together better than wine and cheese.
