Kelly Clarkson and her band played to a sold-out crowd at Radio City Music Hall on Saturday night, and were properly in awe of not just being back in New York City, but at being able to headline at the historic midtown venue. In a variety of sparkly tops and tight black pants, Clarkson sang of late-twenties ennui, shitty boyfriends and the unironic need to find strength within herself. She's celebrating a decade in the biz this year, and in a sea of singing starlets donning cotton-candy-squirting bras and high pink wigs, it's a relief to know that sometimes all you need is a powerful belt and a lot of bad relationships to write your own story of pop-music success. Check out TONY snapper Jon Klemm's gallery above, including photographs of opener Matt Nathanson.
