MoMA PS1, MoMA's sister location in Long Island City, Queens, kicked off its 2011 Warm Up series with a fun and laid-back set on Saturday, featuring DJ Pierre, Beautiful Swimmers, Delicate Steve, Protect-U and Zoovox. New Yorkers crowded into the museum's courtyard, which featured the giant and ingenious Holding Pattern installation by Interboro Partners. Not only did the structure look totally trippy, but it also provided partyers with shade, seating, and water. Musicwise, acid house prodigy DJ Pierre orchestrated a massive dance party that led to an impromptu rendition of Duck Sauce's "Barbra Streisand" from the crowd; before his set, he really got into it as organic house wizards Beautiful Swimmers dropped back-to-back house classics for the heads. Be sure to check out the first-class lineup here—this NYC summertime tradition goes down every Saturday.
