You may not be too psyched about the heavy snowfall as you wade through gray slush, but we're here to try and remind you why snow is awesome and rekindle your childlike wonder (remember that?). Firstly, snowball fights, like the one organized by the NYC Snowball Fight Club who mustered around 25 people to do battle on Thursday at 2pm. They even made snow forts. The rules were simple: "No rocks or yellow snow!" Keep an eye on the club's Facebook page to see if another snowball fight is arranged after we get hit with another storm.

Once the weekend truly begins and you don't have to trudge to work, bundle up and head out sledding; we've also included suggestions for where to cozy up with a drink afterward. Or, if you're feeling flush, use our ski guide to book a day trip to the slopes (or just cop some stylish—and warm!—gear).
