Ticket alert: TV on the Radio film and Q&A at the Nitehawk Cinema

Add +

We've been psyched all summer for TV on the Radio's Williamsburg Waterfront show on September 8 (when the band will play with Broken Social Scene, no less). Tickets are still available for that gig. Now it seems the Brooklyn art-rockers will be keeping us entertained for two nights. On September 7, members of TVOTR will be at Williamsburg's Nighthawk Cinema for a screening of Nine Types of Light, the film version of their album of the same name that came out earlier this year. For the flick, singer Tunde Adebimpe pieced together the music videos they commissioned for each song (some animated, some live-action, all very surreal). Between those are interspersed clips of New Yorkers talking confessional-style about their dreams and thoughts. You can actually view the whole thing on YouTube, but at the theater, you'll be able to participate in a postscreening Q&A that'll feature members of the band. Get your tickets now.
