Today's Zen event: Last call for Speakeasy

Barry Manilow was right: Some good things never last—like a weekly museum soiree with free cocktails. Sad to say, but today is your last chance to visit the Speakeasy at 1220 Fifth at the Museum of the City of New York (1220 Fifth Ave at 103rd St; 212-534-1672, mcny.org). For the past two months, visitors have enjoyed views of Central Park from the museum's terrace, after-hours entry into several of its Manhattancentric galleries and the chance to wash it all down with a "historic" cocktail. Does getting sauced count as an educational experience? Who cares? If you crave the extracurricular activities, though, there are Charleston dance lessons at 6:10pm, and a lecture by Jazz Age expert Kevin Fitzpatrick at 7pm. Plus, the whole evening is set to live music by the ukulele-playing Moonlighters. It's an ideal excuse to kick back and watch the (old) world go by.
