We were there: Michigan Womyn's Music Festival Benefit

Photographs by Syd London

On Saturday evening, NYC womyn came out to Delancey Lounge to help raise funds for the annual Michigan Womyn's Music Festival, happening in August. This is the fifth year the benefit has happened, and its the brainchild of Michfest goer Lisa A. Snyder and her web design business, Elle*Eye Design, LLC. Performers on hand included Nedra Johnson, Reina Williams, Kelli Dunham and Amber Darland—the latter there to perform her own version of "The Star Spangled Banner," titled "The Butch Anthem." The crowd also got moving thanks to salsa lessons and tunes courtesy of DJ Ridiculous Rimarkable (sorry!).
