There’s nothing sexier than a politically minded counterpart, so get involved: Next Saturday, August 23, take your date to the Obamarama Fundraiser (1283–1287 Atlantic Ave between New York and Nostrand Aves, Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn), from 1 to 9pm, which will feature finger-lickin’-good BBQ, live bands and stellar art exhibits. (Everything’s free, but donations are accepted.) When the Obama fest fizzles, stroll over to Outpost Lounge, where you can discuss your view on health care over watermelon lemonade ($3.50 each).
