Last week's vice-presidential debate was so rich in sound bites ("malarkey"), memes (giggling Biden) and gloves-off barbs (the 47 percent) that Obama and Romney will have a tough time matching their underlings for sheer entertainment value (and SNL will have to work harder for their jokes; watch the video skewering the VP debates below). But the candidates will still try to make their second debate memorable—especially Obama, who is coming off a disappointing first showing. The night's town-hall-style format has some potential for off-script moments, as the pair fields questions from voters on both foreign and domestic issues. We recommend these viewing parties for election-hounds of either stripe who are looking for in-depth analysis, like-minded drinking mates or a few nerve-calming libations before the sparring begins.
