Your 1 Thing for today: Wednesday, Dec 27

Listen logophiliacs, the thing about instrumental music is that it has no words. That's what they mean by instrumental. And you might be afraid to listen to if for reasons such as boredom, confusion or nurture (did you grow up in a house that never listened to instrumental music? Were you socialized into a group that looked down on instrumental music?), also nature (were your parents singers? do you have a long lost twin whom you could look up to find out if he or she also eschews instrumental music?). Regardless, it's time to give the jazzy organ and drum pair Benevento-Russo Duo a chance, because they're from Brooklyn, they're playing the Knitting Factory Old Office tonight at 8pm, and they're groovy. And I don't mean groovy like neato or cool, though they're all that, I mean groovy like their music has groove. It doesn't have words though, so you need to just let that go.
If ever there's a time to click this thing below here, it's now, because important info is after the jump, people:
Okay wait, this just in. That show appears to be sold out. I don't care what anyone says, there's always a way in and I trust you'll find it. If you can't though, now might be the perfect time to take advantage of something that will be more available because all the people regularly doing it are at this show. Buy some pot and get your beard trimmed.
Or do the holiday stuff you've been wanting to do but haven't gotten around to yet. Time's a-wastin'! The Radio City Christmas Spectacular is only running through January 2! The Nutracker is only running through December 30! Go go go! Seriously, what are you waiting for? Go!
