Happy-hour revelers come here to drink on the cheap; bachelorette partyers, to dance on the tables. Don’t come for a perfect filet mignon, or to order anything too ambitious. Pick from the standard quesadillas, sandwiches and burgers, and from the mean dessert selection when it’s available (get Bubby’s deep-dish cherry pie, or an individual caramel-pecan cheesecake from nearby Magnolia Bakery). Regulars know what to expect—tall tales of alcohol-induced debauchery, and take-no-crap bartenders who perpetually pour—and they love the place just the way it is.
