    Description
Many people consider the River Café to be the best restaurant in Brooklyn, and it is probably the most expensive. The romantic waterside eatery, which could easily skate by on its gorgeous views of downtown Manhattan, has spawned a long roster of great chefs, including Charlie Palmer (Aureole), David Burke (davidburke & donatella) and Rick Moonen (RM, Oceana). Current chef Brad Steelman lives up to his predecessors with two exquisite prix-fixe menus: three courses (you choose) or six courses (he chooses). Stellar dishes include crisp oysters with smoked salmon and caviar, rack of lamb or lobster specials. For dessert, few can resist the chocolate marquise Brooklyn Bridge, shaped like its sparkling namesake.

Wonderful restaurant. Need to update the prices: $95 and $115, respectively. It was a much better buy at those earlier prices. Now it's competing on price with Jean Georges, and that's a losing proposition.

I dined there on a Tues night ,the staff were top drawer as was the food, our waiter Paul was on hand to make our night very special with his personal touch that made you feel you were the only people in the place, no downsides, a bit exspensive but you already know that before you go worht every dollar.

My husband took me to the River Cafe as a surprise for our first anniversary. I had never been before and it was probably the best dining experience I have had in the last five years. It was serene and magical. I look forward to our next trip into Brooklyn and going back there.
