    Description
A solid Italian-Mexican fusion eatery would have been a lovely addition to the East Village...if it had been any good. The doorway, draped in a hot-pink animal print, exhibited the first sign of questionable taste. The fare was equally dubious, including a sloppy plate of pecorino and huitlacoche “fusion nachos”—and a dry, too-spicy lamb shank. But Matilda’s greatest weakness was its staff. A server faced with a simple request for a receipt strutted off toward the kitchen snarling, “At-ti-tude!” Attitude, indeed.

I strongly disagree with this review as well. Shame on your time out NY! This place is great and the best part is the staff! The owners Maristella (well known from her menu at I Coppi, the tuscan rest. on E 9th Street) and Esteban are the nicest people imaginable and have put their heart and soul into this restaurant and you can feel it. This is a fun restaurant...a fusion of tusc-mex which exemplifies the creative eateries tha New York City has to offer.

Disagree with your review in the strongest possible terms. Highly unfair, and not reflective of the quality of the menu, or the preparation, or the decor. The review is so off, it calls into question whether your reviewers are truly unbiased.
