    Description
    The space is tiny, and so are the prices, but the flavors are huge. You won’t pay more than $10 for any of the gratifying entrées, whether you choose the linguine all’tonno (grilled tuna atop linguine in a light tomato sauce), tortellini alla paesana (meat or cheese tortellini in a peas-and-prosciutto cream sauce) or ravioli al funghi marinara (mushroom ravioli in marinara sauce). While La Casalinga, modeled on the cubbyhole pasta and panini joints of Siena, does a brisk take-out business, those who dine in get the personal touch. “The apple tart isn’t so fresh today,” owner Alessandre Veronese admits when taking dessert orders. “Maybe try the black-and-white mousse instead. It’s wonderful.” And it is.
