Place your order at this 36-year-old burger destination (note: not all locations of JH make ’em this good) and the grill man pounds out a seven-ounce patty, tosses it on the grill and quickly flips a metal bowl over it to seal in the juices. There are dozens of toppings to choose from—guacamole, bacon, fried egg, chili, melted cheese—and by the time the meaty mass arrives, it will be a gooey, glorious mess. There are other items on the menu (chicken sandwiches, salads), but really, what’s the point?
