This modern Vietnamese sandwich joint’s banh mi goes where no banh mi has gone before: atop a piping hot bowl of crispy French fries. The golden-brown batons are smothered in a generous layering of special house-made cheese sauce accented by colorful zigzags of Sriracha mayo and creamy jalapeño-cilantro sauce; then, a handful of pickled daikon and carrot followed by a sprinkling of chopped cilantro and jalapeño; and finally–nature’s condiment–a fried, runny egg.
