Description
Chef Neil Ferguson (Gordon Ramsay at the London) delivers eclectic American fare on the LES. The alluring space is full of bricks and candles, mirrors and velvet, leather-bound books and wooden beams. Ignore oddball offerings like the scallops with celery foam, and instead focus on artful dishes such as the wonderful cabbage, beef and onion entrée. It unfolds like a Russian doll, from the first element (musty aged sirloin) to the second (braised beef shoulder stuffed into a cabbage leaf) to the third (cabbage stuffed into an onion). End the night with a near-perfect slow-roasted apple.
